Our Disneyland Engagement Photoshoot...

About a month ago we headed out to Disneyland for our Engagement Photoshoot! I was set about having them taken at Disneyland. I was searching for the right photographer for almost two months! Being a photographer myself it was probably the most hardest decision to make. One night my Fiance told me, "I don't want anyone taking them but you!" He was right...the best person for the job was me! I had all the tools for the job...a clicker and  a tripod! Bingo! We were set! I appreciate my fellow colleges but I am so picky and perfectionist with that aspect of my life...photography!

Here is what we came up with...sorry if in some you can see the clicker. Hehehehe...

The end of the night...we decided to take a mini shoot in our bedroom. I loved the way they came out!

Being interviewed about thrifting!

So the other day I went on my weekly thrift hunts and headed to a local Salvation Army. There was a county video blogger namer Laura who has her own series of video blogs called "On The Streets With Laura." She goes around town asking her question of the week and this week her question was "Why should you shop at a Salvation Army Store rather than any other thrift store?" I finally got the nerve to post the video. I look so funny!

Vintage Family Pictures...

The other day I visited my Grandmother and she had the sudden urge to go through all the family photos. I was lucky enough to pick up a few to scan onto the computer for myself.

I never thought she had any of my beloved Great Grandfather, but sure enough she did! I couldn't help but ask to take it home for just a day so that I could repair it on photoshop. I just thought I should share a vintage picture of my Great Grandfather Manuel Zelada...my Abuelito Meme! This picture was taken for his soccer team in Guatemala. The picture dates back to before 1920. My Great Grandfather is the handsome one all the way to the right.

The second one is of my Mom (left), my uncle Edgar (2nd), my Grandmother Victoria (3rd), and my Uncle Manuel (last). The little girl is my cousin...I don't remember her name right now.
This picture was taken in Guatemala in the mid 60s. My Mom was a hairstylist and makeup artist and had just opened her own salon at the time of this picture.

It's amazing to look at old pictures and know that you have a connection with the picture.

Wedding Detour...

So a few weeks ago we had the bitter sweet pleasure of changing our wedding venue. I initially wanted to get married in Palm Springs, but everywhere was so expensive! Palm Springs means alot to us...we practically lived there for over 2 years because Albrech used to work in Palm Springs. We thought it would be perfect. Well after doing further research and not giving up...I found our new venue! It is such a steal!!! I could not believe how cheap the venue was for both the reception and ceremony.

Here is a little peek into our location...
